Course Objectives:
When faced with a fellow colleague who is in need of support it is often of great value to have some effective counselling skills. Sometimes employees need help because they are under stress, bereaved or experiencing personal or work related problems. Cosensa's counselling skills training course is designed to equip delegates with the fundamental knowledge, skills and awareness to adequately support fellow colleagues in the workplace. Despite the seriousness of the topics covered, delegates can expect a lively, enjoyable and interactive course.

  • Breaking bad news
  • Helping with bereavement

  • Recognising limitations. How and where to refer people (e.g. to a professional counsellor).

The trainer for this course is highly qualified as member of the CIPD, Transactional Analyst Practitioner. He has over 25 years Human Rescource Management experience and is an experienced group facilitator and development consultant; Action Learning Facilitator. Other skills include experience in crisis management intervention and bullying/harrassment investigations and he is registered with the British Psychological Society.
