This programme covers legal compliance with the requirements of the Discipline & Grievance process and delegates will learn and practice through role-play sessions, appropriate methods and techniques to plan and conduct disciplinary interviews; make considered assessment and at all times recognise the employee's rights in grievance issues.

  • Examination of atypical policies
  • Steps to take before going down the disciplinary route.
  • The role and responsibilities of managers/supervisors implementing disciplinary and grievance policies
  • How to prepare and conduct a disciplinary hearing – conducting investigations, taking statements, dealing with appeals fairly
  • Handling discipline and grievance issues when employees are represented
  • Participants will have an opportunity to practise their skills in conducting a discipline or grievance interview
